We are excited to welcome Althea to the lab as our newest undergraduate researcher!
Althea is currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. Her scientific interests center on understanding the innate immune pathways that enable hosts to respond to pathogens and the molecular mechanisms underlying host–pathogen interactions. These interests align closely with the lab’s efforts to uncover how cells detect, respond to, and adapt to infection.
As she begins her research journey with us, we look forward to supporting her growth as a scientist and seeing the contributions she will make to our ongoing projects.
Outside of the lab, Althea enjoys baking, journaling, and attending music festivals.
